Dear Reader,
Happy New Year and welcome to the eighteenth edition of Independent Actuaries &  Consultant’s (IAC’s) monthly newsletter.
WE PROVIDE LOSS OF INCOME AND LOSS OF SUPPORT CALCULATIONS TO ATTORNEYS DEALING WITH MVA & OTHER DAMAGES CLAIMS.   WE ALSO PROVIDE FREE TRAINING SEMINARS ON THE RAF AMENDMENT ACT TO ALL OUR VALUED CLIENTS.

If you send us Instructions you are entitled to the same.  Via this newsletter we will keep you updated of all the latest case law relating to motor vehicle accidents, the quantification of damages relating to personal injury claims and dates and venues of training seminars.

Workshops in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria on the 4th to 11th April 2011
The era of the RAF amendment act has dawned upon us. Strange new creatures such as the whole person impairment test and caps on future loss of income are some of the legislative “monsters” waiting in the dark and murky waters of judicial interpretation to pounce on the uninformed practitioner.
Because we here at IAC fear for the wellbeing of our loyal clients we will be presenting survival workshops on the amendment act and its application during the April recess window.  Fighting for the survival of our clients whilst providing innovative and value added services tailored to your unique requirements is all in a days work here at IAC.  I hereby invite you to send your questions, queries and thoughts on the application of the amendment act to me via return e-mail. I will then ensure that same will be addressed via the upcoming workshops.

Details regarding venues and times will follow in the March blog post and newsletter.

NOTE: Workshops will only be available to our clients only.  If you are only reading these posts and not sending us instructions, you won’t be allowed to attend.  The good news is that if you start sending us instructions we will save you a seat.
